ULTRACONNECT Beryllium 1 Banana Plug

Banana plug manufactured from Beryllium Copper

$15.00

The Beryllium 1 banana plug was developed by Ultraconnect with guidance from the staff at Apollo Hi-Fi.

Beryllium Copper is useful in a banana plug for its good conductivity, and exceptional stiffness. It is often referred to as "Spring Copper" when used in other applications. This stiff springiness is a characteristic that is helpful in making sure the conductive surface contact area presses into the binding post firmly to allow for better conductivity from the amplifier to the speaker.

Saw tooth banana plugs often have a habbit of breaking when bent a few times. The design is great from a conductive standpoint, but isn't helpful when the plug breaks. Ultraconnect has had the plug designed with a reinforcing pin down the centre of the plug to prevent the contact material from bending or breaking.

Features
  • "Saw Tooth" design for maximum conductive contact area
  • Reinforcing pin to keep the end of the connector from bending or breaking
  • Beryllium Copper is used for better conductivity and strength
  • Fits to wire using grub screws with flat head tops
  • Gold plated to prevent corrosion
