Your audio and video components depend on the power supplying them. Voltage fluctuations, electrical interference and sudden surges can affect sensitive electronics, making power management a worthwhile part of a carefully assembled system.

The Thor Prodigy PS10P8 combines voltage stabilisation, mains filtration and surge protection in one coordinated solution. Designed for specialist hi-fi systems, home theatres and AV installations, it pairs the Prodigy Power Station with Thor’s eight-outlet Prodigy P8 protection board.

Automatic voltage stabilisation

The PS10P8 monitors incoming mains voltage and compensates for rises and falls within its operating range. This helps provide a more consistent supply to connected equipment as household power conditions change throughout the day.

Selectable 240V and 220V output settings allow the supply to be matched to your equipment’s requirements, while maintaining the incoming sine-wave form.

Patented non-sacrificial surge protection

Thor’s patented protection technology is designed to absorb spikes and surges, then reset ready for subsequent events. This regenerative approach provides ongoing protection for the components at the centre of your entertainment system.

Two stages of power filtration

The Power Station and supplied Prodigy P8 board work together to provide two stages of filtration and protection. This helps reduce unwanted electrical interference carried through the mains supply before it reaches sensitive AV components.

The P8 also provides separate outlet groups, allowing equipment to be arranged across its filtered banks to help limit interference between connected components.

Protection beyond the power socket

Alongside its eight protected power outlets, the supplied P8 offers antenna, pay TV and RJ45 network protection. These connections help address additional paths through which electrical disturbances can reach your system.

Wide outlet spacing accommodates up to four bulky plug packs, making it easier to connect a combination of source components, displays and accessories.

Clear monitoring and practical control

Front-panel displays show incoming voltage, output voltage and approximate current draw, providing a convenient overview of your system’s power supply. The display can be switched off for viewing in a darkened theatre room.

Selectable delay start, a resettable circuit breaker and an external earth connection complete a practical power management package designed and engineered in Australia.
