RUARK R1 MK4 Special Edition Pine Green
Representing a new look for the beloved radio, R1 MK4’s beautifully finished Pine Green exterior and handcrafted wooden grille bring the outside in, whether its soundtracking cosy winter nights by the fire or providing the ambience for a hazy summer afternoon.
Crafted in collaboration with Nordoff and Robbins - a music therapy charity that uses the power of music to break through the barriers of disability, illness, and injustice - R1 Mk4 strengthens the bond between fan and artist with a powerful audio performance that makes every piece of music truly sing. A donation to the charity will be made for every one of the limited-edition R1 Mk4 radios sold. Nordoff and Robbins also received several units to be raffled off at its annual O2 Silver Clef Awards on 5th July 2024.
“Having supported Nordoff and Robbins since 2012 when we collaborated on our first limited edition R1, we’re delighted to be teaming up once more to create this beautiful exclusive variant of our beloved Bluetooth radio,” - Alan O’Rourke, Managing Director at Ruark.
“We are so excited and grateful to be working with Ruark Audio on creating this limited edition Ruark R1 radio in aid of Nordoff and Robbins. Music is in our DNA, and we believe in bringing the power of music into more homes. Each and every person who purchases this wonderful radio will be helping to transform the lives of vulnerable and isolated people through music therapy,” explains Sandy Trappitt, - Deputy Director of Fundraising at Nordoff and Robbins.
About Nordoff and Robbins
Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability, and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work. Music therapy is the act of supporting people to connect and communicate through music who are otherwise unable to, such as those living with autism to dementia, learning difficulties to brain injuries, life-limiting illnesses to mental health issues, grief, and trauma. Nordoff and Robbins music therapists use the power of music to create space for people to express themselves and find connection in society.
