Features

MDC—The Most Distinctive Feature

Here at NAD, we embrace the ever-changing world of AV technology without erasing our original investment. The RedDot Design Award winning Modular Design Construction became our answer to obsolescence. With MDC, digital audio and video circuits are on replaceable modules, and the ability to seamlessly upgrade the T 758 V3i to include future digital formats is unique and unprecedented.

Music First

Popular surround sound formats, including HD formats Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X, and DTS Master Audio, are decoded using the latest generation of high-speed multi-core DSP. With full support for High Res Audio formats like Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) included in the BluOS® Player, the T 758 V3i is wondrously unique. Add to this NAD’s exclusive PowerDrive™ amplifier featuring high current combined with high Dynamic Power to bring out the very best in any speaker you may choose for your home theatre. With both music and movies, the T 758 V3i’s award-winning heritage reveals its power with immense depth, clarity and incredible detail.

Pure and Simple Video

The T 758 V3i offers killer performance with the latest digital video technology, including UltraHD video at resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 pixels at 60 frames per second with 4:4:4 colour gamut and High Dynamic Range support. Analogue video sources are also converted to HDMI for simple ‘one wire’ connection to your flat screen or projector. We leave the video processing where it belongs, in your display avoiding multiple format conversions that afflict other AVRs.

Easy Flexibility

We have created a very simple user interface that is incredibly flexible yet simple to use. Each source component retains the same custom settings every time it is selected for viewing, and there are no ‘empty inputs’ to clutter or confuse. In addition, powerful AV Presets allow custom setups for different types of program material (drama, action, musical, etc.) tailoring the performance to your taste. Inputs can be renamed to match your components. A second independent zone is included and can be powered by the internal back channel amplifiers. Advanced multi-room systems are easily accommodated thanks to its full suite of connections for home automation systems.

State-of-the-art Room Correction*

Dirac Live® is the most sophisticated digital room correction system available today, and usually reserved for use in ultra high-end components costing several times as much as the T 758 V3i With Dirac Live® you can build the perfect listening environment that corrects for both the timing and colourations in sound using the supplied calibrated microphone and its powerful software

BluOS Streaming High Res Audio Included

The T 758 V3i features built-in BluOS wireless streaming technology, letting you stream lossless music to your home theatre system from local libraries, tune in to Internet radio stations, and access popular music streaming services. You can control the music from anywhere in the house using the BluOS Controller app for mobile devices, including the ability to group other BluOS compatible wireless speakers and music players with the T 758 V3i to fill every room with music.

Get More Music

Unlike ordinary AVRs, the T 758 V3i benefits from our 45-year legacy of producing some of the most musical components on the market. This sophistication is obvious every time you listen to music or watch your favourite video programs. The T 758 V3i offers remarkable performance and flexibility in a compact and simple to operate package. This multi-channel powerhouse will bring your favourite music and movies to life with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of fun.

Master Quality Authenticated

Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) is a revolutionary end-to-end technology built into every BluOS Enabled amplifier to capture and deliver MQA music to your speakers in the purest quality. All BluOS Enabled players and systems include a powerful decoder and audio renderer for the millions of the MQA encoded songs, The MQA logo shown in the BluOS app indicates that the unit is decoding and playing an MQA stream or file, and lets you know that you are hearing exactly what the artist recorded and approved in the studio.

VM130 Video MDC Module

Modular Design Construction (MDC)
NAD’s innovative MDC architecture is a highly advanced concept, allowing customers to upgrade their NAD AV Receiver
or Processor with new technology and additional features well into the future. NAD introduced MDC in 2006 featuring the then advanced HDMI 1.2 digital transfer technology. Subsequent upgrades to HDMI 1.3, HDMI 1.4 and now HDMI 2.0 have kept NAD customers at the forefront of technology while protecting their original investment.

VM 130 4K UHD Video Module for T 758 This upgrade incorporates two of the hottest and most desirable new technologies into a single module that works in all NAD MDC AV products. It not only provides Ultra High Definition (UHD) video performance, but it also adds the option of network music streaming, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, allowing up to 64 zones of BluOS™ compatible High Res Audio music players to create the most advanced multi-room system on the planet.

Using the very latest 4K video chipsets, the VM 130 supports 60 frames per second (4K@60 4:4:4) to fully support all current and future UHD formats. Many UHD AVR’s still use much slower video processing that limits performance to 4K@60 4:2:0. The VM 130 also includes the latest HDCP 2.2 copy protection necessary for accessing all commercial UHD video releases. Like previous MDC video modules, NAD has chosen to take a ‘do no harm’ approach to the video signal by neither adding nor subtracting precious information, thus leaving the frame rate and colour space unaltered from the input to the output. Only the audio signal is extracted for processing and amplification by the latest state-of-the-art High Resolution Audio circuitry.

Introducing BluOS for NAD
Meet the BluOS upgrade kit – a small device that easily connects to the USB input of your BluOS ready NAD receiver and lets you stream all your music with one easy-to-use app. Once set up and connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can simply use the BluOS Controller app for smartphone, tablet, and desktop to stream & control lossless music, or group with other BluOS enabled devices like wireless speakers, and add high-resolution sound to any room in your home.

*Note: The T 758 V3i will include a license for Dirac Live with the option for advanced users to upgrade to a full-featured version. Firmware version 2.12.9 or later is required to enable Dirac Live.

NAD Classic AV MDC Upgrade

Modular Design Construction (MDC)

NAD’s innovative MDC architecture is a highly advanced concept, allowing customers to upgrade their NAD AV Receiver or Processor with new technology and additional features well into the future.

Featuring Dolby Atmos®

Dolby Atmos provides the biggest step forward in surround sound since Dolby Digital debuted in the 1990s. Using object-based decoding and additional overhead speakers, the movie director can place objects firmly and believably in three-dimensional spaces, creating the most realistic and immersive audio experience ever developed for the home. Even if you don’t plan on adding the additional speakers required for a full Atmos Theatre, the new down mix features of Atmos are a vast improvement over the earlier Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus down mix engines. Of course DTS® X, DTS TrueHD, HD and Neo:6 are also fully supported.

Fine-Tuned

When it comes to audio quality, NAD’s reputation for state-of-the-art digital engineering is on full display with audiophile-quality 24/192 DACs, delivering nearly unmeasurable noise and distortion with an extremely wide dynamic range capable of fully resolving the most advanced cinematic soundtracks and Hi-Res Audio content. Auto speaker setup makes all the adjustments for you, or you can manually set speaker levels, crossover frequency, and distances.

State-of-the-art Room Correction*

Dirac Live® is the most sophisticated digital room correction system available today, and usually reserved for use in ultra high-end components costing several times as much as the AM 230 With Dirac Live® you can build the perfect listening environment that corrects for both the timing and colourations in sound using the supplied calibrated microphone and its powerful software. For more information on Dirac Live, click here.

Although the AM 230 slots into NAD’s 7.1 chassis, it can support up to a 7.1.4 Atmos speaker configuration. This is accomplished with four channels of line level outputs used to connect to additional external amplification, like NAD’s CI 940 Amplifier. The AM 230 can also be configured to use the internal amplification to create a 5.1.2 setup.
