ISOTEK EVO3 Premier C13 Power Cable
This AU model will come with Australian power fittings. IEC C13
The Premier is the first of the new EVO3 (Evolution Three) power cables from IsoTek. It heralds a significant step up in quality of materials used and represents, we believe, one of the highest quality and specification power cables at its price point. Premier has taken two years of development. Sourcing of specialist high quality materials. The design and development of IsoTek's own bespoke and unique 24ct gold plated copper connectors.
The EVO3 Premier delivers excellent performance, and also represents outstanding value-for-money. No compromise has been made in relation to the quality of parts and materials used in its construction.
The Premier is leagues ahead of the basic black cables that come bundled with your hi-fi gear, which have been designed based on cost rather than quality. The Premier’s pure, clean power flow is a perfect introduction to the experience of IsoTek, and the impact of high-performance cables on your audio experience.
The Premier’s conductors (the tightly-wound wiring in the cross-section image above) are made of 99.9999% Oxygen Free Copper, and plated with silver. Silver is an excellent conductor and when combined with a high purity copper provides impressive electrical properties. The extremely high purity levels of the copper not only make for superior connectivity, but also mean that Premier cables are more durable, and less likely to fracture or degrade over time than supermarket power cables.
PLEASE NOTE: the C13 connection brings IsoTek into line with safety and certification standards wherever IsoTek is sold. There is no performance difference between the C13 and C15 versions.
CONSTRUCTION
The conductors are in a parallel construction with a slight rotational twist. This established technique remains the first line of defence against RFI and EMI rejection.
Conductors | Silver-plated 99.9999% OFC conductors offer an exceptional level of purity with enhanced conductivity. They are less likely to fracture (compared to solid core) or degrade over time. Silver is an excellent conductor and when combined with a high purity copper provides impressive electrical properties. |
Dielectric | PVC is used to ensure full compliance with all Australian standards |
Filler | Cotton filler has been used to give the cable internal strength and reduce microphony. Cotton also possesses excellent dielectric properties, the best of a solid material. |
Wrap | A paper wrap is used to secure the construction prior to the application of a flexible PVC jacket. The addition of the paper and cotton form a buffer with the PVC so as to maintain exceptional dielectric properties. |
Jacket | PVC is used as the outer jacket to give a high degree of flexibility and mechanical strength. |
