THE CHORD COMPANY ClearwayX ARAY RCA Cable

The Chord Company ClearwayX ARAY RCA is a stereo analogue interconnect for connecting sources such as CD players, streamers, DACs and phono stages to an amplifier. It can also connect a preamplifier to a power amplifier. Each set carries the left and right audio channels through a pair of RCA connections, with 0.5 m, 1 m, 2 m and 3 m lengths available.

Hand-built in the UK, ClearwayX combines heavy-gauge oxygen-free copper conductors with Chord’s ARAY conductor geometry. Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation separates and supports the conductors, while dual-layer shielding helps protect the low-level analogue signal from external electrical interference. This construction makes it suitable for use behind equipment racks, where audio connections often share limited space with power supplies and other cabling.

The cable is fitted with Chord VEE3 RCA plugs featuring ChorAlloy-plated contacts. ChorAlloy is Chord’s proprietary connector-plating finish; the VEE3 plugs provide the physical connection between the cable and your equipment’s RCA sockets.
