Lots can be said about Analogue devices, for example, that the number of record players that are sold is ever increasing or that the pressing of vinyl records is once again showing increased popularity, the fact that albums are being immortalized on records.
The immense acceptance of Vincent PHO-111 in the market prompted us to develop a new device that is suitable for meeting the greatest requirements. And although the new Premium Line has just found its way, it was obvious to give the new Phono-Preamplifier the looks of the PremiumLine. The PHO-8, like its younger brother PHO-111, was developed in Germany and inherited its good genes. However, while developing PHO-8, making good even better remained in the forefront of our design brief.
The basic conception of PHO-8 comes from an external mains adapter. However, as opposed to the trend followed by many providers, a standard wall power supply is not used here, instead an externally coordinated mains adapter is developed, which is connected to a 5-pin DIN-plug with the actual Phono part. Hereby, ripples and stray pick-up interference through power and electricity supply does not anymore have any role. How high did the expenses run here and which quality standards were placed on the development alone of the mains adapter, can be seen in the importance of 1.3 kg for power supply only. This importance is not only due to high standards of the case and the 10 mm strong aluminum front panel, but it also reflects the high quality of Vincent products.
PHO-8 comes in a similar kind of case like that of the mains supply, while the front panel follows the design of premium Line. The concept of PHO-8 includes a MM and MC Phono-Preamplifier. This function is switchable from the front panel through a switch. By selecting high-quality parts for entry levels, the great characteristics of PHO-111 have once again been surpassed. The technical data, particularly in the parameter “amplification” and “noise-current distance” showcase the best quality.
