The Aaron ZA100 Zone amplifier is an excellent budget, no frills amplifier that is just designed to put the sound where it is needed. It is ideal for custom installations, for multi room audio, or setup in a venue (Cafe, bar etc)
The ZA100 will automatically switch between its two inputs when a signal is detected, giving input 1 priority. This signal sensing circuit will also turn the amplifier off after a period of time when no signal is detected, and will start back up when a signal is present.
This simple amplifier can also be switched to a bridge mono mode, allowing additional power to be pushed out of the amplifier to a single (or multiple) stubborn speakers. This will merge the left and right channels of the signal so any speakers attached will all play the same sound, preventing vocals to be heard from one end of your venue, while instruments are played from the other end.
There is also a line output on the unit, allowing it to be "Daisy-chained" with additional amplifiers for increasingly complicated and large installations.
If you require an extra amplifier for your Dolby Atmos setup to power your Atmos ceiling speakers, this may be a simple and affordable option to a more expensive power amplifier.
